About

Hi, it’s Henley

Self-taught artist. Lover of great books, visibly human art, delicious food, living well, and traveling slowly and luxuriously—in the way of time and enjoyment. As my parents liked to say when I was growing up, I am “as slow as molasses in the wintertime.”

Right now, I’m in the early stages of finding my artistic voice. This might the part so many people skip past, when things feel uncertain and meandering, but I’m choosing to share it. I’m exploring a new way to communicate without noise: a signal, moment, or feeling you can recognize without needing words to name it. Art is a new way for me to expand and grow what I need to say.

I’m especially drawn to botanical forms, moody light, and the kind of color that makes your chest catch. My dream is to create work that brings a sense of beauty and grounding—something you can live with, return to, and feel changed by.

This is where it begins. If you want to come along, I’d love the company.
